I have had quite a few successes in Scientology in the application of the technology to my daily life and helping others.

      I did the Scientology Purification Program a few years ago. While doing this program, I became aware of the effects of some medical drugs I had been given while some dental work was done on me as a kid. I had totally forgotten about getting the drugs, but the program actually got rid of the drug residues still left in my body from when the dental work was done. My mouth felt temporarily numb and then it went away.

      I did a Communications Course as my first Scientology course and that course handled what was ruining my life at that time - I was a very shy person and found it very hard to communicate about certain subjects, or even to venture forth an opinion in a conversation. I also had a hard time handling arguments with my husband. The Communications Course changed my life.

      I learned some fundamentals about communication and lo and behold, I couldn't stop communicating. It was like releasing some floodgates. I knew it wasn't ok to argue with your spouse, but that was a normal way of life from all the other marriages I had observed. After the Communications Course, I found out some basic principles that were PRACTICAL and applicable to every day life and preventing arguments with your spouse. I'm mot saying my husband and I haven't had arguments over the past 25 years, but when we do, we both know what to do to fix it.

      I've had many wins using Scientology in raising my kids There was one time when my son did not want to finish his reading assignment. He said the book was not interesting. I found out that there were words in the chapter where he was that he did not understand. I helped him look up the definitions of the words he didn't understand. Then I started reading the book myself and just started telling him how the book got more exciting after the chapter that he was on. He finished the book and told me he really enjoyed reading it and was glad I got him through it. Now, he reads books and gets me to read the books he enjoys!

      Raising my children in a Scientology environment was so sane. I think Scientology made my job as a parent a lot easier to do. I use KNEW I was raising my kids correctly, giving them skills that would help them be successful adults. They both went to Scientology based schools and learned the Study Technology as developed by L. Ron Hubbard. Both my children (young adults really!) are drug free, ethical, educated and fun to be around. We communicate so much better and have an excellent relationship.

      I know I'd heard of parents wondering if their kids are on drugs or who have kids who don't communicate with them. My advice is find out more about Scientology and use it to improve the situation. There is no greater comfort in the world than KNOWING that your kids are really drug free, are ethical and who communicate to you. Scientology can help you accomplish this.

      In a world filled with divorces, broken homes, drugs, lack of communication between parents and kids, or employers and employees, ignorance, illiteracy, and a most of other social ills, I have found that a new civilization is not only possible, but is very real, in Scientology.
