One in a long line of successes stands out in my memory. At one time, my artistic output had fallen stagnant. During a counseling session I realized I could improve my abilities as an artist by aggressively studying the technology of painting. Why that had not occurred to me before I can't explain, but then Scientology counseling is a magical thing. Shortly after that, I embarked upon a whole new era of personal creativity through self-instruction. I read technical books on painting and applied what I learned and created a new career for myself. As a bonus, I discovered I had talent reserves that I had been totally unaware of. My hard work resulted in, among other things, an invitation from The White House to paint an egg for their annual Easter egg roll, and placement of that egg in the permanent collection of The Smithsonian.
