My Success in Scientology

In 1977 or 78,a friend and I decided to run 20 miles. Though I had typically run 10 to 20 miles / week, I had never run that far at once. We went to a beautiful section of the Oregon coast plotted a course of 20 miles on roads and trails and set off on our adventure. At about mile 13, my left knee started to hurt, but I couldn’t stop because it was getting late, so I kept running as the pain progressed until I finally hobbled to our vehicle. I was unable to run for several weeks due to the pain, so I saw a doctor at the University of Oregon Medical Center. He told me I would just have to stop running, which was like saying I must stop eating! So I got what’s called a “Dianetics Assist”, which is a Dianetics procedure to alleviate physical pain and discomfort. All in about an hour we located an incident when I severely damaged anothers’ knee. Though it was initially vague, the incident developed to be as real as present time, and then it erased! I immediately stood up felt no knee pain, and the injury has never returned, even after the thousands of miles since!

This did more than handle my knee. It reassured for me the workability and simplicity of Dianetics and it REALLY MADE MY DAY!!! I could run again!

Another success I should mention is that I used to be afraid of attractive women, which created a very lonely state of affairs. Immediately after completing some Scientology counseling a friend asked what I was going to do with that part of my life. I said “well I guess I had better handle it “

Not more than a couple days later, this beautiful lady approached me and said in so many words that she was looking for a boyfriend! We planned an incredible hike for the next weekend, and this wonderful lady is now my wife!
