ello, my name is Richard J. Leifield, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. I spent some time in Joplin, Missouri while in high school. I graduated from the University of Missouri at Rolla in 1974.

      My wife and I moved west in 1979 and we now live with our daughter in Los Angeles, California. However, even though we've lived in LA for almost 20 years, I still root for the St. Louis Cardinals. I guess some loyalties never die.

      I work as a Civil Engineer and enjoy the practical solutions to physical problems that engineering provides.

      In spite of what you may have heard on the TV, LA is a great place to live and work. Although I sometimes miss my home town and the good people of St. Louis, I don't miss the humidity and freezing cold that we do not have here in LA. It would be okay with me if the earth didn't quake as it sometimes does, however.

      My hobbies include computer programming and home repair. And as you can tell from my web site, I am active in the Church of Scientology. I help support the social betterment programs of the Church to help fight illiteracy, drug abuse, and psychiatric abuse.
