I recently had the opportunity to put my knowledge of Scientology to the test when my mother became unconscious from a medication overdose. She had been in bed for two days, and no one in my family knew about it. My sister called me at work, scared and worried. I rushed over to her house so we could make arrangements for one of us to fly to Mexico to help her.
The data, evidently, was that mom was comatose. Using a technique I'd learned in Scientology, though, I was able to actually create a miracle and get her to come around, get up, and actually restore her health--right over the phone! There is something called the "Unconscious person assist," something L. Ron Hubbard created for just this type of situation. I had recently learned this technique at my local church of Scientology, never dreaming I'd have to use it. While I was delivering this assist, my sister got a big shock. The last she knew, mom was comatose on the bed. I asked her to pick up a phone extension and listen. Mom was out of bed, walking, talking and singing. Astounded, my sister asked what I'd done. I told her that I'd gotten the girl who was with my mom to put the phone up to her ear, and then just did the assist I'd learned it in Scientology.
I then ended up having to do another kind of assist for on my sister, who was in shock and disbelief!
Assists for illness and injury are just a tiny part of Scientology, but I have total certainty that this tiny piece of the technology saved my mother's life.
