I came into Scientology ten years ago after the completion of my Physics degree. I had finished university and should have been very happy but I wanted to learn about Life. Nothing in my academic career had touched on this. I also wanted help others in a real spiritual way. I read Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health, joined staff in a Scientology organization and felt like I was doing something genuinely important to better the planet-something I had thought I couldn't do. I have worked on staff for seven and half years and this has given me a very good insight into others and myself.
Personally I have benefited from Scientology through consistent health and fitness-particularly important to me as I am a keen athlete. This has enabled me to represent my state in athletics on a number of occasions.
Socially, I understand and enjoy the company of others far more now as I am now extremely extroverted as opposed to rather introverted. I find it very easy to meet people. I look forward in the future with a self-assurance that I have gained through the study and practice of Scientology and I only wish that as many people as I meet take a chance, stick their noses out and endeavor to learn about Scientology as it will help them.
