Scientology has helped me understand myself and know my true potential. That not only has improved my self-image and given me more self-esteem, but it has made it easier to deal with people in all areas of my life, both professionally and personally. Scientology has also given me tools I needed to handle problems and situations that have arisen in my life on a personal level, in my family and in business. The success that I've had using these tools give me an optimistic outlook on life. Societal problems that I used to consider hopeless, I now know can be and are being remedied by using solutions found in Scientology. I read or hear about how crime is on the increase and there aren't enough prisons; I know there is a workable solution (see CRIMINON web site ). I see a story about the growing number of drug addicts and that we are losing the "war on drugs"; I know that Scientology technology has the answer (see NARCONON web site). When I talk to people who are upset that our education system is failing to teach our young people and producing a nation of illiterates. I don't despair because I know there is an answer (see the APPLIED SCHOLASTIC web site) L. Ron Hubbard stated that: "A civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war , where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights , and where man is free to ride to greater heights are the aims of Scientology."* This is not just a nice-sounding, idealistic statement. Like other Scientologists, I know that these aims are achievable, and that we have the tools in Scientology to make them a reality. This confidence for the future is perhaps the most valuable thing I have gotten from my involvement in Scientology, and the hope that such solutions are possible, is the message I try to communicate to others.
