ello, my name is Marc Perkowitz, and here is a little bit about myself:
I am an independent computer consultant and work for medium to large companies doing analysis and programming, especially with large databases. I have been doing this for 24 years.
A high-school friend of mine who was working at a Scientology mission in Champaign, Illinois introduced me to Scientology in 1975. I had been searching for answers to questions about life as many of us do, especially during our college years.
It sounded interesting and I took several courses back in Chicago at the local church. My first course was in communication and that immediately got my attention. I have never thought that there could be a technology to communicating. I had always thought that that was just something you didor did not do. How could you improve it with drills?
Well, this course and others greatly improved my ability to communicate. Later on, I received Scientology counseling (auditing) which also helped me in many ways.
I met my wife, Sally, in 1978 and we married in 1980 with a Scientology ceremony. I introduced her to Scientology shortly after we started dating. She has also had many successes with Scientology and uses it in her work. If you ask any of our friends, you would find that they would consider our marriage to be one of the strongest that they know and we both feel that a great deal of that strength comes from what we have learned in Scientology about communication and about relationships between people.
Sally and I also have other interests in common. We are both avid birdwatchers. It's a good excuse to spend time out-of-doors and a fascinating hobby. In September 1997, we took a trip to England and saw many new species. We also stopped briefly at L. Ron Hubbard's former home in East Grinstead, Sussex and enjoyed a tour.
I'd be happy to hear from anyone who has questions about Scientology. I invite you to learn
more.
