If you want to find out more about Dianetics and Scientology, the best way to do this is to read an L. Ron Hubbard book on the subject. I personally recommend you read Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health.
This book really helped me with It was an approach of life which I liked very much. I could agree with it and I had the feeling that there were no arbitrary data: it gave me a clear picture of what life is all about: what we are trying to do, why we as people react the way we do, why we are sometimes irrational and destructive and how we can rid ourselves of the source of all impulses or feelings which we don't want. Just reading it was already therapeutic and very relaxing for me.
