ello, my name is Lee Hake, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I have been a professional performer for over 30 years. I play the trumpet, trombone, and euphonium (baritone), as well as sing and act a bit. My travels have been as a sideman with local bands such as Westport Chamber Brass, Magnolia, and Phoenix (these groups I was the headliner) and various big bands such as Warren Durrett, Steve Miller, Jack Colvin, Tony DiPardo, Vince Bilardo, and John Leisenring. Other groups I have performed with are the Bristol Brass, Western Missouri British Brass Band, and the Gary Love Brass Ensemble.

      When I was active as a performing musician, I played at least 80 weddings a year, as well as numerous small ensemble and large ensemble "gigs". Two hundred plus performances a year was not unusual.

      In addition, I was a private instructor of trumpet and euphonium and a high school band director for 18 years. I am proud to state that I held the most successful trumpet teacher in metro Kansas City for 16 years, in the state of Missouri for 15 years, and in the United States for 8 years. My bands won the unofficial state championship 4 times, unofficial national championship 2 times, and the unofficial world championship 1 time.

      With all these great wins, my life was unbalanced. I did not allow time for my family and friends. I came to Scientology after things fell apart in my teaching career during the summer of 1985. Unfortunately, I got enough technology to feel good about things and went back to teaching, won all the previously stated awards, and was too busy after only 2 months of Scientology training. I then drifted through life, up and down, until everything hit bottom in February of 1994. I stayed in a state of hiding until I rediscovered Scientology in April of 1998. I once again have hope and a direction.
