In 1979, I found out about Scientology from John Travolta, whose business manager I worked for in New York City. He had just made the movie, "Saturday Night Fever" -- he was successful. I was going to art school at night and working during the day and very much wanted to be a successful artist like Mr. Travolta.

     The difference between myself and him was that I was, for 10 years, a "druggie". The mental depression that I felt daily, along with the physically damaging effects of drugs became more than I could bear. I was told of a "good" psychoanalyst and out of sheer desperation, went to her. Ten months later she told me that I was nervous and should get a prescription for valium! She never heard a word that I said and charged me $3,000 for her "help."

     A former drug buddy that week appeared at my doorstep and had been a Scientologist for a few years. She sent me to the Church of Scientology in New York City. Within 2 weeks, I was drug free!

     That was on September 4, 1979. I've never had any desire to touch any drug since that day and I haven't. The Purification Program as described in the book Clear Body, Clear Mind saved my life.

     I am interested in helping others get what I got-- a new life.
