If you want to find out more about Dianetics and Scientology, the best way to do this is to read an L. Ron Hubbard book on the subject. I personally recommend you read Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health.
This book really helped me with handling the world around me. Things were very bleak, I had just been hi-jacked of a company car. I got counselled by using techniques in this book. The bleak picture of the hi-jack got handled and the company bought another car. All bad feelings about myself came to a positive outlook.
