If you want to find out more about Dianetics and Scientology, the best way to do this is to read an L. Ron Hubbard book on the subject. I personally recommend you read Scientology Picture Book.
This book really helped me with understanding some of the fundamental differences between Scientology and other practices or beliefs. Some of the ideas of Scientology are introduced by this book in a way that people can understand even if they have had no previous exposure to what Scientology really is.
