First, I would like to take a moment to acknowledge your arrival to this page. Because you are reading this I know that you are looking for answers and I truly believe Scientology has answers to many of life’s problems. It takes a certain type of individual to recognize that some areas of their life could be better. It takes some amount of courage to do something to improve their condition in life. That is exactly what Scientology is about, improving conditions in life.
There are several areas of my life that have changed for the better. These changes have bettered the course of my life dramatically. Let me start by boldly stating that were it not for Scientology I may not be alive. At the very least I would not be living the quality of life that I am enjoying now. I challenge you to read the next three paragraphs and find out exactly what I mean by such a bold statement.
After barely graduating high school I went on to college where in the first semester I got a .33 grade point average. That means that of four classes I made three "F’s" and a "D". The main reason I did so poorly is because early into college I picked up a drug habit. In fact, it got pretty bad. By the second semester I had all but entirely stopped going to class and only did drugs and partied. I flunked every course that second semester and was kicked out of college.
For the next five years there were very few days that I did not get stoned. Then one day, a true friend of mine gave me a book. It was the first book L. Ron Hubbard wrote on the subject of Dianetics (which preceded Scientology). It really made a lot of sense to me. I asked him for another book and then another. The fifth or sixth book I read by L. Ron Hubbard was a book called Clear Body, Clear Mind. This is a book with facts about what drugs do to your mind and how they stay in your body even years after you’ve taken them. It also tells you how to get them out of your body and why this is important to do. Two days after I finished that book I ended a five year drug habit and that was nearly four years ago. Drugs are no longer a problem for me and the writings of L. Ron Hubbard are the reason I no longer use drugs. Thank you L. Ron Hubbard.
Another area of my life that has improved because of Scientology is my ability to study a subject. Throughout my life I had many difficulties in school. This is prior to my drug problem, so that wasn’t the reason. I took specialized courses and was labeled with having a learning disability, but being labeled didn’t help me study any more easily. However, through a course offered at the Church, I learned how to study. I could now read something and understand what I was studying. Anyone can take this course and benefit greatly. When one contemplates the scope of illiteracy that plagues this planet, only then can one fully appreciate this technology in the light of what it means to the future of this planet.
A third area of my life that has prospered greatly because of Scientology is my financial situation. When I first came into Scientology I was at an all time low. I had made $5700 as my annual income that year. Simply, and more simply than you would think, I applied Scientology administrative technology to create and expand my business and poof, I make about that much every month. You do not have to have a lot of money to be in Scientology, but it is my experience that if you are not in Scientology, you are losing big.
