ello, my name is David Feasey, and here is a little bit about myself:

     I own my own print business and have run it for 18 years. I've been in Scientology for 30 years. My interests in life are music, literature, languages and art. I was a classical scholar in my youth, I studied Latin for 9 years and Greek for 8 and have studied many other languages as well.

      I got into Scientology after my uncle told me that there was a copy of a book called Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health in a local library in Kensington in London (this was in 1956 when L. Ron Hubbard was lecturing on Dianetics and Scientology in Kensington) and that I would find it interesting. I got it out and read it and did indeed find it very interesting. It was like a ray of hope, but when I had finished it I didn't know what to do next. I moved to Birmignham later and in 1968 one of my neighbors invited me to a talk about Scientology in a group in Birmignham. I went along and did a basic course there and then started going to the larger organization in London every weekend. I learnt how to deliver Scientology spiritual counseling and also received it and attained the state of Clear (the name of a state achieved through auditing* or an individual who has achieved this state. A Clear is a being who no longer has his own reactive mind.** A Clear is an unaberrated person.), and have continued to learn and apply the subject ever since.

*Auditing: A special form of personal counseling, unique in Scientology, which helps an individual look at his own existence and improves his ability to confront what he is and where he is. Processing is a precise, thoroughly codified activity with exact procedures.

**Reactive mind: That portion of a person’s mind which works on a totally stimulus-response basis, which is not under his volitional control and which exerts force and the power of command over his awareness, purposes, thoughts, body and actions. The reactive mind is where engrams are stored.
