In 1976 I had reached a point in my life where I needed a change. I was in a dead-end job, recently divorced, and was using drugs to escape from life. And to top it all off I was extremely shy.

     One day on the way to the supermarket, a girl sold me the book Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health. She also invited me to a free lecture.

     I went to the lecture and enrolled on a Communication Course.

     After I finished the course, I quit my job as a mechanic (up until this point the only jobs I had dealt with “things” and not people because I was so shy), and got a job as a Salesman. Imagine me dealing with living breathing people. I quickly became the number two salesman at the company.

     Then I married the girl who sold me the Dianetics book.

     That was 22 years ago. We celebrate our 22nd Wedding Anniversary this year.

     Today I have two beautiful daughters, own a very successful Graphic Design company, and love life.

     Drug-free, sane and winning for 22 years. That’s what Scientology did for me.
