If you want to find out more about Dianetics and Scientology, the best way to do this is to read an L. Ron Hubbard book on the subject. I personally recommend you read Scientology: A New Slant on Life and Scientology: The Fundamentals of Thought.
These two books helped me with understanding myself. I had wonderful caring parents and a good home, nice clothes and many benefits in life, but I was very unhappy. I could not understand this. I saw many others who had less than I had who were happier and doing better in life and it made no sense to me. When I first read these books, I had just come from two years of college, where I went from being fairly smart (in High School) to feeling quite dumb and confused. I had basic questions on life and how it worked and the answers weren't in the college textbooks (or at least I couldn't find them). These books gave me the answers I was looking for and started me on an adventure that has been more exciting and rewarding than anything else I have ever done.
