Before Scientology I was afraid of new situations. Meeting new people was very frightening and I did not feel much confidence about where I was going in life. In fact I had no idea where to go with my life. I truly desired a boyfriend but was so shy I could not sustain a relationship. I was just starting to use drugs when I stumbled upon Scientology.

     After doing some basic study on the subject of communication and practice in confronting others, I became less fearful about talking to others. I no longer desired the false courage of drugs or alcohol in order to be comfortable in a social setting. I have continued my studies about the spiritual side of life and applied what I learned to my life.

     I am now quite happy in almost any situation and am happily married for the last seven years. I have a wonderful child. My own mother says she can’t believe how much I’ve changed from the shy teenager to the "do anything" adult.
