ello, my name is Avi Lonstein, and here is a little bit about myself:
I was born in Israel, where I lived until I was three. I grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa, and our family lived there until 1986. We then immigrated to the United States, and have been living in Los Angeles since 1989.
My parents have been Scientologists since 1971, and so I grew up most of my life knowing about Scientology. I have two other brothers, both younger than me. We are all married, and strangely enough we have all married Israeli ladies. My wife is also a Scientologist, and we are very much in love.
I am Jewish, and we consider our Jewish heritage to be very important to us. We celebrate the Sabbath every Friday night at a family dinner, and we definitely observe the major holidays. In fact, I have found that Scientology does not conflict at all with my Jewish heritage and lifestyle.
Currently, I am studying on the upper levels of Scientology, which deal with one’s ability as a spiritual being. It is truly very, very interesting, and I am gaining additional abilities all the time.
My mother is a volunteer at an organization called Criminon, which uses Mr. Hubbard’s breakthroughs to rehabilitate inmates. She is quite a brave woman, and has visited many, many prisons and juvenile halls, working directly with the inmates. After all, they are people too, and deserve to be rehabilitated, not to mention the peace of mind knowing that they will be honest citizens when they are released back into
society.
