I came into Scientology twenty four years ago basically looking to have a happier life. From all outward appearances and the normal standards of success - job, family, friends, financial, etc. - I was doing well. But I wasn't happy.

     So I bumped into Scientology through a friend of mine and started doing some courses - particularly dealing with communication and how to study. The way Scientology courses are run is just absolutely marvelous. The student studies at her or his own pace and does lots of drilling to ensure full understanding of the material. I especially enjoyed listening to the tapes by L. Ron Hubbard on the subject of study.

     Then I received some spiritual counseling which really helped me understand and deal with my past. At some point this auditing changed me forever and I knew I was on the right track. I found myself much less serious about life and even laughing without having to have a very good reason. I was more myself again, more like I was when I was younger - very carefree.

     I have continued taking courses and receiving spiritual counseling since then and have continued to learn to deal better with life.
